Towards The South

Day 2 in bangkok. I was still banging-the-kok there. This time, we went towards south of bangkok to take a tour at the "venice of the east" or more commonly known as the floating market. Probably the only venice in asia. As usual, the ride took more than an hour. The boat ride costs 600baht per person which doesn't worth it at all. Well, as they know we're tourists, they will what they can to "slaughter" us. Took another 10minutes before reaching the destination.

Many elderly man and woman with their own sampan selling various stuff there. From souvenirs to clothes and various kind of local delicacies.

I am greatly sympathised on this man because i can see he is struggling himself to row the sampan for his passengers just to earn money for his living. Life is really tough.

Not to said i am not sympathised to my own boatman. It is because the boat we rent have an engine to move the boat. So, it'll be an easier job for him compare to the others. Lol...

Of course, traffic police is needed to prevent the congestion on the canal. Traffic jams do happens on there. Even accidents involving sampan had happened before. Ok...that shows no matter on land or water, accidents do happen. Who knows that someday in the air do need traffic police.

Then, we got down somewhere in the market. We were given only 10minutes just to tour around, WTH! Took a photo there. Seems that this aunty and uncle enjoy stirring the coconut sugar.

After that, off we leave floating market. This time, the taxi man brought us to the handicraft centre somewhere which i don't even know where it is or what that place called that sells many craftwork items . That place is fully occupied with tourists and the professional craftsman.

And this is one of the finest craftwork buddha i had ever seen there. Beautifully crafted by them. Not to forget to mention, they sell their craftwork items using US currency, $. Siao...! @.@

Well, i guess that's all on day 2. Didn't even realised that times past by that fast. If there is more time given to appreciate our day.
