The City Of Thailand

Still couldn't cope with the noise pollution in the city even though it is my third day there. Large number of motor vehicles on the road burning up fossil fuel contributing to global warming, congrats folks. One thing for sure, the traffic there is really heavy and scary in the sense the way they drive.

Went to the grand palace somewhere in bangkok. This statue suppose to be the guardian of the grand palace. I'm just wondering why the king of thailand had shift out of this palace to build another home for himself. lol...

Could you imagine a building made of pure gold? Will the foundation will be able to support the palace itself? The answer is yes. If it isn't, the palace could have collapsed long time ago. Fell like scrapping out some gold from the walls. Haha...

Night life i bangkok is pretty "hot" . My most popular destination in the night, the suan-lum night bazaar, one of the night market there. Besides the famous chatuchak market, we went to this night bazaar instead. Best of all, they sell many nice clothes with low price tag. Bargaining and negotiation is a must while purchasing something from there.

Versace, anyone? It is really famous and branded stuff for everybody. Well, not for me. I'm not into shopping at all since i'm young. Whether it is pasar malam clothes or not, i am okay with it as long it covers me. lol...

The most convenient transport in bangkok, the skytrain(BTS) . Goes almost everywhere in bangkok with its another assistant that works underground, the MRT.

You wouldn't realised that times pass by so fast and could be even faster than the speed of light. Just a blink, a day has gone and i'm going home where i belong. If you ask me about bangkok, all i can say is "sexy".

Time pass faster than we could imagine

Towards The South

Day 2 in bangkok. I was still banging-the-kok there. This time, we went towards south of bangkok to take a tour at the "venice of the east" or more commonly known as the floating market. Probably the only venice in asia. As usual, the ride took more than an hour. The boat ride costs 600baht per person which doesn't worth it at all. Well, as they know we're tourists, they will what they can to "slaughter" us. Took another 10minutes before reaching the destination.

Many elderly man and woman with their own sampan selling various stuff there. From souvenirs to clothes and various kind of local delicacies.

I am greatly sympathised on this man because i can see he is struggling himself to row the sampan for his passengers just to earn money for his living. Life is really tough.

Not to said i am not sympathised to my own boatman. It is because the boat we rent have an engine to move the boat. So, it'll be an easier job for him compare to the others. Lol...

Of course, traffic police is needed to prevent the congestion on the canal. Traffic jams do happens on there. Even accidents involving sampan had happened before. Ok...that shows no matter on land or water, accidents do happen. Who knows that someday in the air do need traffic police.

Then, we got down somewhere in the market. We were given only 10minutes just to tour around, WTH! Took a photo there. Seems that this aunty and uncle enjoy stirring the coconut sugar.

After that, off we leave floating market. This time, the taxi man brought us to the handicraft centre somewhere which i don't even know where it is or what that place called that sells many craftwork items . That place is fully occupied with tourists and the professional craftsman.

And this is one of the finest craftwork buddha i had ever seen there. Beautifully crafted by them. Not to forget to mention, they sell their craftwork items using US currency, $. Siao...! @.@

Well, i guess that's all on day 2. Didn't even realised that times past by that fast. If there is more time given to appreciate our day.

Ayutthaya

The second day in thailand, i'm heading to the north of bangkok with a hired 4 wheel drive taxi. The kingdom of ayutthaya, commonly known as the ancient city in thailand. Just about more than an hour ride using the highway towards the north of bangkok.

Begin with the bang pa in summer palace that is situated not far from ayutthaya. The entrance fee costs 100 baht (rm10) . It is said that it was build by King Chulalongkorn with a touch of european and classical thai architecture.

It is easily to recognise that this palace uses european architecture such as the statue in this photo.

After that, ayutthaya, here we come. I got really excited when i heard it's an ancient city. My first thought is that this city gonna be fill with few centuries old building and artefacts. Well, when i am there, all i can say is HUMONGOUS! It is really an ancient city with ancient architecture!

Well, part of the city are ruined and destroy. Maybe it's due to corrosion due to acid rain. Well, it is sad to see some statue of buddha's head or stolen by those desperate thieves. Probably the quality of artwork and the sculpture made by the ancient people are extremely fine and rare to be seen. Those stolen artefacts may costs till few hundred thousand baht.

One of the most perfect and amazing statue i had found there. At least with its head still attached to the body, it looks wonderful. I wonder how does it really looks like back few centuries ago.

One of the sleeping buddha in ayutthaya.

Maintaining the ancient city and the artefacts means preserving the culture that had been introduced by their ancestors centuries ago. Therefore, the ancient culture will not be extinct and will be always appreciate by the younger generation.

Every pieces that is left

Pass

I had a wrong impression about them this time. I never thought that JPJ gonna be so corrupted filling with huge number of materialistic staff.

Pass my driving test today without bribed the examiner. My first thought when i know that i didn't bribed the examiner is that i'm gonna fail. It really makes me nervy when i knew that many people paid for the bribe as much as rm200. WTF... Well, it's clear enough why number of road accidents in malaysia is seriously high. I can call it as a "license to death" . lol...

Started with me Bahagian 1 and 2 first and then only Bahagian 3.While on road test with the examiner sitting beside me, everything went smoothly with the optimum speed following the traffic rules. Then, disaster happened.
examiner : laju sikit.
me : huh?
examiner : you pekak ke(with loud voice)? i kata laju sikit!
me : tapi ini kawasan sekolah tuan. tak boleh pandu laju.
examiner : sekolah dah habis lah!
me : ........

Then this goes on till i'm finished with my road test. Got scolded for being driving too slow which doesn't make sense because i'm driving about 40-50 km/h. This is the reason why i hate them so much. Well, at least i pass the test without handling my rm200 for no reasons to those fools. If only local authorities take strict actions against them.

Fantasy

This supposed to be my second trip to bangkok but it feels like my first one. Well, talking about my first trip there, that was like more than a decade ago. Till 24th of january 2008, here i am again saying hello to bangkok with my relatives. What i'm excited the most is not the tour around bangkok but boarding on the aeroplane.

Sounds weird eh. Never thought that boarding an aeroplane will make me so excited. Well, i always fantasize about aircraft and couldn't imagine how its components works to bring the plane up in the air besides applying bernoulli's principle (the principle i salute the most besides newton's laws) . Alright then, i'm just like blogging about my fantasy on aeroplanes right now. Sort of waste of time to read this. lol...

Well, looks like i'm just talking about my fantasy about flying. swt... will make a better post for the next one. xD

First Post

In case any of you guys still don't know who am i, take look at the photo on the top. Well, that's me. This photo was taken on december last year in penang. Same old boring me. Wonder why i wanna choose this photo while there are so many other photos. xD

This gonna be my second blog after i abandoned xanga months ago. Okay, the fact that i'd stop blogging is due to lack of knowledge in blogging and now i'm back with user friendly blog site. Hope that blogging will help me improve my english besides writing all about me. lol...
