Sleeping In Penang

The trip to prince of wales island was rather extraordinary this time. Started the journey from the night of 28th April till morning of 2nd May. It is my first time travelling somewhere far with my friends - David, CMT and How Tian. And it is my first time taking a night train to butterworth and then sail across the sea by ferry to the island of penang.

The one night in the 1oo Cintra Street guest house was really worth staying with its cheap room rates. We checked-in on 29th April morning. The guest house is rather a classic nyonya baba house than any other guest house out there. Only rm35 a night, you can have a simple cosy two single beds room with a fan. Don't have to worry about getting hot and sweaty staying here because the guest house air ventilation is really efficient making the house cool during the night and even under the blazing afternoon sun. Not forget to mention, it is really clean there. That is why i'm recommending this guest house to anyone that travels to penang with a tight budget.

The next day, we checked out and have a night in continental hotel. This time, we'd booked a room for 4 people. And of course, room rates for hotels costs more but at least it still cheaper than the other hotels cause it is a budget hotel. As usual that every hotel have, the air-cond, swimming pool, cafe, etc. At only rm138, you can get a room with two double beds for a night. And yea, so does the merry noise from the noisy neighbour like us.
